Publication Ethics
SSB Global Journal of Medical Science is committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in scientific publishing. We adhere to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines and best practices to ensure the integrity of the research we publish.
Duties of the Editor
- Fair Play: The editor will evaluate manuscripts objectively, without regard to the authors' affiliations, nationalities, or personal beliefs.
- Confidentiality: The editor and editorial staff will keep confidential all information regarding submitted manuscripts.
- Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: The editor will disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence editorial decisions.
Duties of the Reviewers
- Objectivity: Reviewers will provide constructive criticism and objective evaluations of manuscripts.
- Confidentiality: Reviewers will treat all submitted manuscripts as confidential information.
- Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Reviewers will disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may affect their judgment.
Duties of the Authors
- Original Work: Authors must ensure that their work is original and that they have not plagiarized the work of others.
- Accurate Reporting: Authors must accurately report their research findings, avoiding fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data.
- Authorship: Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research.
- Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence their research.
- Data Sharing: Authors may be asked to share research data to support their findings, especially in cases of controversial or inconclusive results.
- Duplicate Publication: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously.
Retraction
If a significant error or inaccuracy is discovered in a published article, the journal will issue a retraction notice. Retractions will be clearly identified and linked to the original article.
Ethical Guidelines
- Human Subjects: Research involving human subjects must be conducted in accordance with relevant ethical guidelines and regulations.
- Animal Subjects: Research involving animal subjects must be conducted in accordance with relevant animal welfare guidelines and regulations.
- Informed Consent: Informed consent must be obtained from all human participants involved in the research.
Plagiarism
Plagiarism is a serious ethical offense. All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using appropriate software. Authors found to have plagiarized content may be subject to sanctions, including rejection of the manuscript and potential blacklisting from the journal.
