Peer Review Policy

Peer Review Policy

SSB Global Journal of Medical Science is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic rigor and integrity. To ensure the quality and reliability of the research we publish, we employ a rigorous double-blind peer-review process.

What is Peer Review?

Peer review is a process in which submitted manuscripts are evaluated by experts in the field to assess their quality, originality, and significance. This process helps to identify potential errors, biases, and methodological flaws, and ensures that only the most rigorous and impactful research is published.

Our Peer Review Process:

  1. Initial Screening: All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial team to determine if they meet the journal's scope, format, and ethical guidelines.
  2. Assignment to Reviewers: Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent, anonymous reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
  3. Review Process: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on the following criteria:
    • Originality and significance of the research
    • Soundness of the methodology
    • Quality of data analysis and interpretation
    • Clarity and coherence of the writing
    • Adherence to ethical guidelines
  4. Reviewer Feedback: Reviewers provide detailed feedback to the authors, including specific comments and suggestions for improvement.
  5. Author Revisions: Authors are expected to carefully consider the reviewers' comments and make necessary revisions to their manuscript.
  6. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' feedback and the authors' revisions, the editor makes a final decision regarding the acceptance, rejection, or conditional acceptance of the manuscript.

Double-Blind Peer Review:

To ensure impartiality and objectivity, we employ a double-blind peer-review process. This means that neither the authors nor the reviewers know each other's identities, minimizing potential bias.

Ethical Considerations:

We adhere to the highest ethical standards in the peer-review process. Reviewers are expected to:

  • Treat manuscripts with confidentiality
  • Provide constructive and unbiased feedback
  • Avoid conflicts of interest
  • Adhere to deadlines

By implementing a rigorous peer-review process, we strive to maintain the credibility and impact of SSB Global Journal of Medical Science.
