Cross-Cultural Connectivity between Bangladesh & China by the Practice of Acupuncture for Holistic Healing

Acupuncture, as a vital part of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), has been practiced for treatment of various diseases. Despite the cultural differences between Bangladesh and China, acupuncture is being used as one of the methods for treatment of neurological problems in Bangladesh. This paper is based on both secondary and primary data. The secondary data was collected through reviewing the relevant literatures and the primary data was collected using the method of Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and Key Informants (KIs). The findings of this paper are the acupuncture therapy is being using in cross-cultural perspective between two nations keeping in view treatment of different types of diseases for holistic healing and thus strengthening the connectivity between Bangladesh and China in cross-cultural perspective.

Effective Teaching Practices and their Impacts on Professional Development of the Students

This paper has two components; one is effective teaching practice and another is its effects on professional development of the students to make them productive members of the nation. This paper discusses the concept, principles, and characteristics of effective teaching and impacts of effective teaching. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method was applied for the collection of primary data. Four groups were selected keeping view with the objectives of this paper and each group was formed by 8-10 members. Every group was homogenous and individually constituted by teachers, students, guardians and institution authority. The findings of the paper indicate that the effective teaching practices contribute to the holistic knowledge of the students for their professional development.

Saul Bellow (1915-2005), a Canadian-American, Jewish writer was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1976. His artistic technique captured important elements of human relationship such as consciousness, inner order, and the quest for ultimate or true meaning of existence. It may be his own spiritual quest that he manifests in the character of his protagonists who are mostly males. The main focus on Saul Bellow’s treatment of particular aspects of human relationship such as the dimensions of Spirituality, Masculinity, and Materialism in Men-Women relationship, his position as a neo-transcendentalist is firmly established in conclusion.
