Effective Teaching Practices and their Impacts on Professional Development of the Students

Abstract

This paper has two components; one is effective teaching practice and another is its effects on professional development of the students to make them productive members of the nation. This paper discusses the concept, principles, and characteristics of effective teaching and impacts of effective teaching. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method was applied for the collection of primary data. Four groups were selected keeping view with the objectives of this paper and each group was formed by 8-10 members. Every group was homogenous and individually constituted by teachers, students, guardians and institution authority. The findings of the paper indicate that the effective teaching practices contribute to the holistic knowledge of the students for their professional development.
